Description Of 100GBASE LR4
This Juniper Network QSFP-100GBASE-LR4 compatible transceivers are
typically implemented using 4x28G electrical lanes, with each lane
carrying a 25 Gbps data stream. These four lanes are then
multiplexed onto a single optical fiber using WDM technology,
allowing for a total data rate of 100 Gbps.
This 100GBASE LR4 is designed for long-reach transmission, with a
maximum distance of up to 10 kilometers over single-mode fiber.
It is compliant with the QSFP28 MSA, IEEE 802.3ba 100GBASE-LR4 and
IEEE 802.3bm CAUI-4.
Digital diagnostics functions are available via the I2C interface,
as specified by the QSFP28 MSA and Application Note AN-2152 and
AN-2153.
